Our Editorial & Medical Review Policy
Hormone, peptide, and weight-loss information affects real health decisions. This page explains who writes our content, who reviews it for clinical accuracy, how often we update it, and how to reach us if you spot an error.
Who writes our content
Our educational pages are drafted by our clinical and marketing team to explain the conditions we treat and the care we provide at our Lakeway practice. Drafts are written in plain language and are intended to help you understand your options — not to replace a consultation with a licensed provider.
Who reviews our content
Before a medical page is published or updated, it is routed through an internal review queue and reviewed by a credentialed provider for clinical accuracy. Our reviewer of record is Kristine Kjolhede, FNP-C, founder and family nurse practitioner at THRIVE, with review support from Courtney Masters, MSN, FNP-C. When a provider approves a page, we display a “Medically reviewed by” byline with the reviewer’s name and the date of that review, so you can see exactly who checked the information and when.
How often we update content
We review our medical pages when clinical guidance changes and on a periodic basis thereafter. The “Last reviewed” date shown on each reviewed page reflects the most recent provider review of that specific page — it is not a site-wide stamp. If a page does not yet carry a review byline, it is either non-clinical or still moving through our review queue.
Our approach to medical claims
We aim to describe treatments conservatively and accurately. We do not promise specific outcomes, and we avoid absolute language such as “cures,” “reverses,” or “guaranteed.” Where a therapy is compounded, investigational, or carries specific safety considerations — for example peptides or GLP-1 medications — we say so plainly and place that context next to the relevant claim rather than burying it. Individual results depend on your labs, history, and provider evaluation.
